A time ago, I visited Fraser at his Bexhill studio to have a go at using his Risograph printer. Initially invented post war to fire out (no pun intended) propaganda fast and efficiently, it quickly became popular amongst artists and designers down to its use of bright and vibrant colours. From the outside, it looks much like an old school photocopier but on the inside it operates a lot like screen printing, pushing inks through a mesh, layering up different colours to create the final image. Fraser has now moved from the OG studio so if you want to look this workshop up, you can now find them HERE.

I decided to use this image as I've been working towards producing this as a greetings card. I prefer the colourway of the original drawing though so will stick with a digital print for the final production.

Loved the workshop though! Highly recommend. And if you think you might have someone in mind that you'd like to send this card to please keep an eye out for up coming products in my shop...
